Rosa Arredondo*

rosaRosa’s theatre work includes the Broadway’s A Streetcar Named Desire, George C. Wolfe’s Harlem Song, the Lincoln Center production of The House of Bernarda Alba, and the National Tour of West Side Story in the role of Anita. Most recently, she starred in the film Losing It with award-winning director Macdara Vallely.  Her other film credits include the Slamdance feature Silver Tongues, Feel the Noise, Preaching to the Choir, Where God Left His Shoes, and Husband for Hire. Her television credits include series regular roles on pilots for Showtime (“Hate”) and Fox (“Ricochet”). In addition, Rosa has had recurring roles on “Six Degrees,” “Trial By Jury,” and “Conviction.”  She has also guest starred on numerous television shows, including “Elementary,” “White Collar,” “The Mentalist,” “Fringe,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Numbers,” and “Criminal Intent.” Rosa feels privileged to have worked with directors such as Paris Barclay, Graciela Danielle, Harold Becker, Peter LaSalle, Charles R. Wright and Michael Howard. Along with her childhood friend, Lorna Ventura, she formed Stepsister Productions.  Their first film, Jack & Jill, was nominated for Best Short in Toronto and their critically acclaimed documentary, The Dancer Chronicles, has been featured in several festivals.  Additional film and stage projects in development include: The Plantain Stain, Seven Sisters Named Rosa, R U Kidding, Vive, and Three Girls From the Heights. It is the desire of Stepsister Productions to give a voice to those who are under-represented in film, television and stage.
